Serious Black

We don’t see many suspenders and tophats around here on the Eastside. If anything Capital Hill is all about this Broadway actor look, but do you think you can handle this?

Something about this look says that you care about your looks and has this artsi-ness. You love drama and you appreciate creativity.

An outfit like this is very complete. Would a techy Expedia or Microsoft employee rock it? Probably not. It’s not for everyone. To pull off this outfit, there must be a bit of confidence in that man and possibly some bravery.

Lincoln Square Cinemas after work hours

In the same building as Lincoln Square Cinemas we have Microsoft and Eddie Bauer. In the surrounding areas we have Expedia, Paccar and Amazon to name a few. You can’t help, but see this look at the theatres. You wonder to yourself, (or at least I do) why their wives allow them to dress like that, right? Just add a PDA to their belt buckle and you have the complete Bellevue employee cookie cutter. Go observe for yourself.

I understand it’s summer and all, but please advise.

*UPDATE: I totally forgot the badge key and Starbucks.

Dear Mr. Corporate USA

A friend of mine working in Wall Street inspired me to write this post; a post about shades that can be worn for those that work in Corporate America.

Here in Bellevue /Eastside-Northwest, when I think of Corporate I think of Microsoft, Expedia, Amazon and other techy corporations. They look like the average Joe with their khaki dockers and polo t-shirts their wives picked out for them and rubber soled shoes. If the Eastside ever had to wear the 3 piece corporate uniform, what kind of shades would you wear with the business suit?
