About

vuesociety Founded in 2009, VueSociety is a smart style blog about Bellevue Fashion, a site catering to focus on the fashion and trends to define the styles of the Eastside of Seattle, BelleVue (in addition to Kirkland, Issaquah, Redmond and Sammamish).

VueSociety’s goal is to discuss 3 things:

+High Fashion and Trends for both Men and Women

+Local Street Fashion for both Men and Women

+Local-Eastside Happenings and the local retailers

…in order to help both sides of the counter through sharing the latest trends with the consumers and locating them whether it is locally or through e-commerce.

By becoming a resource, VueSociety is the site for the Eastside (who’s style differs from Seattle) to create a sense of  their own style as a reflection of their individuality because VueSociety believes in creating a style and making it their own.

While the Eastside is on the rise, especially Bellevue so is the appeal for style. VueSociety helps fuse together the sophisticated fashion conscious through a sense of unique style, one that belongs to Bellevue. Through innovation, VueSociety’s ultimate vision is to initiate the movement of this city to make it’s mark on the map for “fashionistas.”

New commercial structures such as the Bravern, the expansive Bellevue Collection and the high rise buildings easily make it more exciting and city-like for the residents east of Seattle.

As CNN.com ranks Bellevue, WA the No. 1 “Best Places to Live and Launch” amongst a list of 100 cities nationwide, there is no doubt about the exciting things happening here. As CNN.com continues to keep a keen eye on this growing city, VueSociety will do its part by providing the latest trends in the humble world of Bellevue, Washington, today.

VueSociety is defined as to view society, influenced by the the city of Bellevue meaning beautiful view in French.

Bellevue’s spending power (According to Schnitzer West, citing data collected by Claritas and The Strategic Edge for Neiman Marcus)

To persuade Neiman Marcus to open a department store in downtown Bellevue, Bravern developer Schnitzer West presented demographic data two years ago comparing the spending power of residents within a 10-mile radius to that of other upscale shopping destinations nationwide. Here’s how the area stacked up:

No. 4: For average annual household income.

No. 4: For percentage of households with annual incomes of more than $100,000.

No. 5: For projected population growth from 2005 to 2010.

Neiman Marcus then commissioned its own study to find out if Bellevue-area shoppers were inclined to buy pricey fashion merchandise. Here’s how it ranked based on key “psychographic” measures:

No. 1: For Suburban Splendor, successful suburbanites of upward mobility living in growing neighborhoods of affluent homes

No. 2: For Urban Chic, well-educated professionals living an urban, exclusive lifestyle, who tend to own expensive single-family homes and are Internet-savvy and civic-minded

No. 3: For Wealthy Seaboard Suburbs, established quarters of affluence in coastal metro areas, where nearly half of the people employed are managers or professionals

Note: Shopping destinations in the comparison group are Bal Harbour in Miami, Cherry Creek in Denver, Copley Place in Boston, Fashion Island in Newport Beach, Calif., Fashion Valley in San Diego, The Galleria in Houston, Lenox Square in Atlanta, Michigan Avenue in Chicago, Northpark Center in Dallas, Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, Somerset Collection in Troy, Mich., and South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, Calif.
