Intarsia: knitting technique used to create patterns with multiple colours. As with the woodworking technique of the same name, fields of different colours and materials appear to be inlaid in one another, but are in fact all separate pieces, fit together like a jigsaw puzzle (wikipedia).
Well Guys and Gals! It’s the look for the season. It’s in the mass marketing level as you can tell from the Gap F/W 2009 looks. I love it so much. It’s so vintage, yet not. I bet some even have fun stories to share. If you still didn’t get rid of your sweater, pull it out and make it 2009.

I might be a little slow on the bandwagon for this look, only because I have many memories of Xmases past, where I’d get a reindeer/snowflake bedecked sweater, itchy as hell, and like a scene from the movie “A Christmas Story,” my mother would insist I wear it during parties and dinners where the gift-giver was present. I’m sure I can eventually embrace this look again, once the wooly flashbacks subside.
