Vogue Front Row Bellevue Fashion Week

October 5th, 2009

front row fashion show vogue The night was amazing and spectacular. From beginning to end, it was the ‘Best Show of the Week!’ Best for last is what the Bellevue Collection planned iMO. Checking in was smooth and when doors opened it was clear not to step over the catwalk and find seats accordingly.

Congrats to Bellevue Collection for raising $43,000 for the Boys and Girls Club of Bellevue and thank you Anne Vincent of Vogue for being so kind to come the only beautiful Bellevue to show us the latest trends from various retailers at the Bellevue Collection.

anne vincent vogue bellevue fashion weekIt was refreshing to see such an eclectic collection on the runway. There were LA models transplanted to join local models to strut the latest looks chosen by Anne Vincent, herself.

It was the most professional you can get here in the PNW. Every look on the models looked great with sunglasses, gloves, great jewelry, handbags and a great pair of shoes. The look was so complete which made it so much more true and real in terms of a fashion show. Loved everything about it. The bar is set so high that next year they can only top it and I can’t wait for that!

There were 5 categories, starting off with Biker Chic (video above), Top Coats, Ladylike Sophistication, Eighties Redux and Evening Glam respectively. For more videos, check out my YouTube page with a sneakpeak of each category.

biker chic vogue bellevue fashion showBiker Chic was a great starter with lots of plaid, sequin, lace, statement necklaces, fedoras and lots of rivets. Designers were Haute Hippie, Milly, Victor and Rolf, Rag and Bone, Elizabeth and James, Wilfred, INC, Quiksilver and Dsquared. All available at the Bellevue Collection, of course.

Top Coats were great. I love talking about jackets and it was awesome to see some great bold colored coats with colorful tights. Add colors, texture and a great pair of boots for you ladies and for the men try a scarf that sticks out to you. Runway looks came from Hugo Boss, Marqsmen, Iceberg, Martin+Osa, Mercer, Trina Turk, Banana Republic, Elliott Lauren, Mackage, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Ann Taylor, Du Monde, Milly and See by Chloe. Find one great jacket that you love and that itself can be half an outfit.

Ladylike sophistication vogue bellevue fashion weekLadylike Sophistication was a favorite amongst all the women. It was definitely sophisticated, classy and perfect for every Eastside women of all ages. Pieces from this category can be found at Ann Taylor, Hugo Boss, Michael Kors, Martin+Osa, Alfani, Rachel Roy for Macy’s, Calvin Klein, Haute Hippie, and Moschino Cheap and Chic.

Eighties Redux is screaming Madonna! Neon, Sequin Metallics, Liquid Leggings, RayBan’s and everything reminding you of the eighties. Pieces from this category can be found at Rachel Roy, Lacoste, Gemma, Kate Spade, Jessica McClintock, Vince, Theory, Tory Burch, Free People, Phillip Lim and D&G.

The Last Section was about formal wear; Evening Glam. Many of the  men’s suiting actually were replicated from the David Lawrence show. The women’s dresses were great though. Voletta Couture definitely made a great impression towards the spectators. Pieces from this category can bef ound at Hugo Boss, Just Cavalli, French Connection, Ann Taylor, Frankie Morello (to die for!), Badgley Mischka, Pronovias, Phoebe Couture, Tracy Reese, D&G, Calvin Klein and Foley+Corinna.

eighties reduxIt was a beautiful night. Even the Kemper Freeman family showed up to support the Vogue sponsored fashion show which was kind of them. The audience were so excited for the after show VIP Shopping Event. The line was tremendous and the mini runway shows at the mall were a hit.

The event was perfect for shoppers to kick off their fall wardrobe shopping.

The Seven For All Mankind had a party at the same time with a Live DJ that evening and Seen by Team Photogenic booth was full of VIP shoppers ready to speak to the streaming video via internet, LIVE!

Hopefully the looks on the catwalk inspired shoppers to choose bold colors, textures and bling to lighten and liven their wardrobe up for this upcoming season.

Can’t wait to see more people take a risk in their dress. (crossing fingers!)

  1. I loved the Milly coat Anne Vincent was wearing, which also showed up on the runway. I’m obsessed with coats; it’s a sickness. Was trying to find out more info about the banded red dress listed as a Calvin Klein, but can’t find it anywhere — that was another personal favorite.
