You’re Itching To Know

What happened at the Nordstrom Bellevue Square Fashion Show for Bellevue Fashion Week!!! AHHH!! Relax, I’m here. I’ll tell you what went down…
Rumor has it that this is THE better or best shows of fashion available in all of Washington State is on the Eastside. So grateful I only blab about the Eastside right?
Let’s begin with the program… everything on the Essential Items for Fall 2009 was on point! In all respect, I see so many editorials here in Seattle and others that get it all wrong.
Nordstrom has to get it right and they did. (click the image for a better view)
Let’s go by designer…
+Vince- was the show starter with a LOT of black. Maybe too much black? I’m assuming the Vince buyer felt like going safe and decided to get all the black in the Vince collection? Kidding. Vince has a lot of grays and blacks and you can’t deny that every fall its about the gloomy colors. It’s the NW, what do you expect? It’s safe.
+Hugo Boss Orange- Reminded me a bit of Michael Kors F/W 2009 with the sunglasses. Give you E for Effort. Patent sneakers were the look with the argyle prints, scarves and sweaters. Chocolate brown and black jeans were the popular amongst the walk. Apparently there weren’t any men shows in the past, not sure why, but I’m glad they added it to the program this year. You need the men’s clothes.
Can’t really see the images (eek!)

+Elizabeth & James- is my favorite, favorite, FAVORITE! If you need fashion guidance or a new stylist, just browse through their collection. They get the tuxedo blazer and boyfriend blazer right every time. The one-shouldered hammered satin dress has been in their collection for a while now. You might want to get yourself one.
Just watch the video. Thanks..

+Milly- from NY. Love Milly for their jackets. Jackets are the new outerwear. Milly has the best wool coats this season. They are bringing peacock this season. (similar to DVF). You’re going to be seeing a lot of browns, golds, metallics, hardware and jewels on clothing. Milly loves leggings. Try to opt black for neutral hues this season. Milly has a lot of vests as well.
+Rag & Bone-Do you remember my post about them early this season? Click here if you are a new reader. The runway showed the transition into that Resort look. You can see from the rolled up socks and leggings and pants how Resort came about. You will find your sheers here with the militant jackets and your blacks.
+Marc by Marc Jacobs- IMO, they could’ve showcased another designer other than MJ. He is all over the place. I love him and his lines, but Nordstrom could’ve used someone that is still making it big like Alexander Wang or Thakoon. Who doesn’t know a MJ when they see one? That’s my 2 cents. Anyways MJ doesn’t fail us. His bold inspirations and color combination is always what makes his lines, his! The reds/pinks or the teal/blues, the roses, plaids and more plaids. He knows how to make a statement.
+Leifsdottir-was short and sweet. Reds, oranges and blacks. Vibrant fall colors and floral prints is what Leifsdottir is about.
+Haute Hippie- was the hottest of all. I did write about Haute Hippie when I first started this blog this past May. Everyone went crazy about the dresses. Of course they did, because they’re eye catching!!! Will I ever see them worn? I’d love to, but I can only hope. Watch the gasping throughout the video.
+Hugo Boss Black- why do we need 2 Hugo Boss shows? I don’t know. Black has plaid suits which is hard to find here in Bellevue. Other than that, I would have also loved to see another designer like Prada than Boss Black. But that’s just me.

+DVF-last but not least!
Sequin!
Leopard print!
Hot Pink and Black!
Just watch the video…
Can you tell I’m tired?
The LONGEST post I’ve ever written in the short life of VueSociety… Unfortunately DVF didn’t have a great finale piece, but it was okay. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

adore it. lovely.
What a stunning show. Sensory overload. I feel bad I haven’t written anything up yet, because it’s still processing in my brain! Leifsdottir was probably my personal favorite, only because I love graphic prints, and theirs really stood out among the different designers who opted for traditional winter palettes. But overall, I loved the array of silhouettes and textures.
Nice write up! See you at David Lawrence tonight.
Glad you enjoyed it ;)
Thanks for reading Sara, I appreciate it CU tonight
Great writeup. I feel like I was there. I wish I had been there.
I also thought they could have featured Alexander Wang. He’s amazing!
