into a new store concept, a perfect fitting for the Eastside Tiffany & Co fans. Ever since I was in High School, the girls were eyeing each other’s latest T&Co sterling silver jewelry piece. Tiffany for high school girls? Yes, you can call it spoiled, but it was the item to have if you lived on the plateau.
Aside from the bragging rights, it’s all about the experience of going to Bellevue Square, heading to the Nordstroms wing located next to Seven Salon where there was the Tiffany & Co. boutique and entering a magical place. From the outside, it looked as if the store was transplanted from Fifth Ave in Manhattan to our very own Downtown Bellevue, but when you open those heavy doors into this boutique it’s another world; a world where everything looks so expensive that you become too scared to even ask to try anything on.

Things have now changed. Those high school students may have grown out of their timidness at the store now that they’re older, but for those that naturally become intimidated by the name Tiffany & Co., be scared no more. There is a new store concept being pioneered here in U-Village in addition to its Glendale, CA sister store. A store concept that is experimenting with a hands-on approach to shopping for luxury goods.
The customer will find jewelry out on the counters and on artistic forms throughout the store, available for trying on and mixing with her own jewelry to find the look that defines her style. (the image above is from the CA store).
Jewelry is available for customers to try on easily and to experiment with in an informal manner in an environment that is relaxing and casually elegant. It’s perfect for the Eastside high school girls or boys of that matter to enter a retailer that is a touch and feel luxury boutique. The ladies that adore Tiffany & Co. or the ladies’ husbands, boyfriends and fiance’s that are timid at fine jewelry stores can enjoy this new comfortable experience at the new U-Village store.
So you’re probably thinking, why did they choose Seattle of all cities? Well, Tiffany & Co rep states that Seattleites do not follow trends. From coffee to music, Seattle residents create their own trends. This store is designed for this kind of consumer. Tiffany believes in the market. We are aggressively investing in Seattle by building this new store that will bring jobs and revenue to the region.
Very cool.
Look forward to the Grand Opening of this new Tiffany & Co concept store at the UVillage for September 04, 2009.
